Tony Garcia joins the staff at Mill School & Technology Academy (MSTA) with over 20 years of educational experience. Mr. Garcia has served Whittier City School District for 19 years in various roles including Physical Education and History Teacher, department chair, teacher on special assignment, administrator and most recently Assistant Principal at Edwards Middle School STEAM & Dual Immersion Academy.
Mr. Garcia has a strong educational background with multiple degrees. He graduated from Whittier College with both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education and went on to receive his Administrative Service credential from California State Polytechnic University.
Mr. Garcia has extensive experience in administration. During his tenure as a site administrator, he has provided leadership and worked with school communities to transform educational environments which have gained recognition by the California Department of Education receiving the Gold Ribbon Distinguished School Award, Title I Academic Achievement Award and PBIS Gold Award. Mr. Garcia is excited and eager to partner with the MSTA community. He is dedicated to promoting student achievement by collaborating and building positive relationships with all stakeholders in the Whittier City School District community.
