Uniform Information

Mill School & Technology Academy’s students wear a school uniform.  MSTA takes great pride in the appearance and reputation of our school.  The goal of the school uniform is to have students coming to school dressed and ready to focus on learning.  The Uniform Policy has changed to be more flexible and will be strictly enforced at MSTA.  Students will be expected to dress professionally and appropriately for school.   All students are expected to adhere to the following dress standards:

Uniform Top

Collared Shirts – white, navy blue, light blue, grey & yellow

T-shirts – “MSTA Spirit Wear” only & College t-shirts on Tuesdays

Uniform Bottoms

Pants – khaki, navy blue, black & well kept denim

Shorts -- khaki, navy blue, black & well kept denim

Skirts/Skorts/Jumpers -- khaki, navy blue, black, navy plaid pattern

***Reminder – must not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee***

MSTA Spirit Wear

A variety of MSTA Spirit Wear may be purchased from PTC.   We are thankful for this partnership and encourage families to purchase a variety MSTA attire. Students may wear the MSTA Spirit Wear any day of the week along with approved uniform bottoms.

College T-Shirt Tuesdays, Spirit Wear Fridays and Student Council Spirit Days

In an effort to help our young scholars think about their futures, we encourage a collegial campus every Tuesday.  Flags representing colleges from around the nation wave proudly in the quad area.  Students may wear a college t-shirt from the college/university of their choice or purchase the gold “College Bound” or “Class of” shirt from the MSTA Spirit Wear store.  Every Friday is “MSTA Spirit Wear” day, students and staff are encouraged to wear blue and gold or an MSTA t-shirt.   The last Friday of the month will be a Student Council chosen “Themed Spirit” day. Participation points for “College t-shirt”, “MSTA Spirit Wear” and “Themed Spirit” days will be tallied throughout the month earning extra recess for the class with the most points at the end of the month. “Free Dress” days and passes will be awarded periodically throughout the school year.

Whittier City School District’s Dress Code and Uniform Policy are available in the Parent Handbook for review.
